Most Lutheran women, at least in America and the Western world, don’t cover their heads during prayer and worship, much less on a daily basis. I have chosen to do so. The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts and experiences regarding this practice in order to encourage other Christian (especially Lutheran) women who choose to cover their heads or are considering beginning. The purpose of this blog is NOT to convince anyone to adopt the practice, to start theological debate, or even to engage in exegesis of 1 Corinthians 11:2-16. I encourage every sister to prayerfully study this passage for herself, looking for guidance to the Fathers, the Reformers, her pastors, and other Christians, but I am not primarily concerned here with providing such a study.

My goal is to provide the kinds of practical content that I was looking for when I first started covering (and still appreciate when I find it). If there are any topics you would like me to address, please head over to my contact page and drop me a line.

Thank you for stopping by. I pray you will be encouraged and blessed as you study God’s Word and seek to follow His will.
