Most Lutheran women, at least in America and the Western world, don’t cover their heads during prayer and worship. I have chosen to do so, and the purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts and experiences regarding this practice in order to encourage other Christian, and especially Lutheran, women who likewise choose to cover their heads or are considering beginning. The purpose of this blog is NOT to convince anyone to adopt the practice, to start theological debate, or even to engage in exegesis of 1 Corinthians 11:2-16. While I would encourage every sister to prayerfully study this passage for herself, looking for guidance to the Fathers, the Reformers, her pastors, and other Christians, I am not primarily concerned here with providing such a study. Again, this blog is mainly intended for encouraging those who choose to observe the practice or are thinking about it.

Thank you for stopping by. I pray you will be encouraged and blessed as you study God’s Word and seek to follow His will.
